Gingerbread Old Fashioned
A zero-proof bourbon stirred with a quick gingerbread syrup of molasses, ginger and warm spice, then finished with aromatic bitters and orange.

Ingredients
- 2 ozSpiritless Kentucky 74
- 1–2 tspGingerbread syrup (0.5 cup brown sugar, 0.5 cup water, 1 tbsp molasses, 1 inch sliced fresh ginger, 1 cinnamon stick and 3 cloves, simmered 5 minutes, cooled and strained)
- 1 dropperAll The Bitter Old Fashioned Aromatic Bitters

Method
- Make the syrup ahead; it keeps for two weeks in the fridge.
- Add the Kentucky 74, 1 teaspoon of syrup, the bitters and salt to a mixing glass with plenty of ice.
- Stir for about 15 seconds, taste, and add the second teaspoon of syrup if you want it sweeter.
- Strain over one large cube and express an orange peel over the top.
